The Insight is Honda’s two-seat hybrid car that was the first
gasoline-electric hybrid powered vehicle to be sold in the U.S. when
it went on sale in December 1999. For the 2001 model year an optional
continuously variable automatic transmission was added.

The AM/FM/CD audio system is improved, a new beige/black color scheme
for the seats is added, and the fuel-consumption meter is changed from
green to red for 2004.
