in 1988 when I started MUSIC MANUFACTURING SERVICES, the music industry had
a whole different set of issues to deal with than it has today.
Back then, the major labels had some idea what they were doing, vinyl and
cassette ruled the store shelves, digital was brand new, and the Internet
was a few years away from widespread acceptance.
However, just as it is today, unsigned artists were taking charge of their
careers, and independent labels began to flourish, and helping them flourish
is the technology that has come down the pike in the last 20 years.
To say things have changed would be a gross understatement. What hasn't
changed, though, is the MMS commitment to providing our clients with the
right products at the right price, with service that is the best in the
industry.
