The Club received its name after being used as a filming location for the movie Robin Hood in 1921. Within the facility is the historical "Robin Hood Cabin," as well as California's oldest manmade lake, Lake Sherwood. Sherwood's golf course was officially opened on October 30, 1989. After being owned by David H. Murdock, Sherwood Country Club is now belongs to its members." -
