His partner, a female owner, Dottie Thunder, has a background in social science. She took an interest in his "mover stories" . Together they wanted to provide a service that offered the best of everything. He had all the physical experience to know how to make a move smooth, and efficient. She offered a woman's touch. Nothing but a fantastic experience with these guys all the way around. I called to get an estimate, and Dottie came out within a few days to take a look at all my stuff (and there is a LOT of it), made no condescending remarks on the, shall we say... uniqueness?... of some of it (i.e., a pez dispenser collection), and gave me a quote that ended up being within $100 of the actual cost. Pretty impressive given that, at the time she came out, I hadn't packed up a lot of the stuff yet, and wasn't even entirely sure what all would be moving with me. (Yes, the pez did make the move.)
She sent 3 guys - Cary, Corey, and Arthur - for the job. They showed up on time and ready to go. And go they did... for 10 straight hours. These guys never stopped. They moved a piano, a ridiculously heavy solid oak entertainment unit, a pretty delicate antique vanity, and all the other gobs and gobs of stuff I had. They had to take a door off to get one piece of furniture out - I mean, this was not the easiest of moves, my friends. But everything came out on the other side intact. They had the beds set up and furniture in place by the time they left, so my new place sorta felt like home right away. And somehow, despite the long day, these guys stayed friendly and upbeat the whole time.
I REALLY hope I don't have to move again anytime soon. It sucks. But these guys made it slightly less sucky. Thanks Thunder Movers. You guys rock.

Best. Movers. Ever! Fast, courteous, and extremely careful of our brand new hardwood floors! They were polite and efficient. They asked us exactly where we wanted things including moving a heavy china cabinet twice for us and gently placing it on our fragile floors. They shrunk-wrapped everything and protected it carefully. I can't say enough about the three gentleman thunder movers sent out to move us. Joaquin, Ivan and the other gentleman whose name escapes me, were very hard-working, considerate and kind. Thanks guys!
