Question: What Is The Difference Between Ethnicity And Country Of Origin?

Answer: Ethnicity refers to the tribe in which the art piece came from, while Country of Origin specifies what African country the piece came from. Many different African tribes often inhabit the same country, but have their own separate economies, as well as separate political and religious systems. Identifying not only country of origin, but ethnicity as well, helps collectors understand the rich history behind the piece.
