Why are Luxury Metals turbine vents better than other turbine vents that I have purchased in the past?Luxury Metals turbines are built with heavier gauge metal than most other turbines on the market. they also use a unique “Jewel bearing” system where the turbine will spin without the traditional ball-bearing. Ball bearings either need lubrication or can break down prematurely. A turbine vent must spin properly to effectively vent and keep snow and rain out. The Jewel Bearing system will allow the turbine to spin effectively for a longer period of time with virtually zero maintenance and probability of premature breakdown.
Will your copper and stainless steel vents be effective in coastal climates? Our thick gauge copper and stainless vents are an effective solution to premature rusting in coastal environments. What is ventilation?Ventilation is simply the process of supplying a continuous supply of air through the attic space. "Proper ventilation " consists of 50% intake, under the eaves, and 50% exhaust near or at the roof peak, at least 3 feet higher than the intake system.
Why Ventilate? To fight the enemies, heat and moisture, you must ventilate year round . Heat in unventilated attics may cause temperatures to exceed 150 degrees causing damage to shingles , roof sheathing and possibly radiate to the living area. Moisture being the #1 enemy, causes rot, mildew, mold, paint blisters, and renders insulation to be ineffective. Proper ventilation reduces energy bills, winter ice build up and eliminates mold/mildew which can lead to major health problems. By ventilating, you are extending the life of other building components, shingles , insulation, etc.
