Question: Should I Be In Contact With The City or County When Remodeling?

Answer: Yes, the homebuilder/remodeler would do all this for the homeowner. We're in a special program here in Portland, which isn't available anywhere else in the country, where certain contractors are given a streamlined process with the city so we don't have those long waiting lines. That's another differentiating factor between us and other companies, and what they end up doing is cutting corners and not get the permits.
