Question: Should I Stain The Hardwood Once I Am Finished Building?
Answer: All of our materials are very dense and therefore don't take stains very well. Instead, we sell an Ipe oil that provides a UV protection and gives the wood a wet appearance. It has no pigment which helps the wood maintain its original color. If oil is not applied, the wood will eventually fade to a natural silver grey.
